How osteopathy releases emotional tension
The body stores unspoken emotions — over time they turn into tension, pain and fatigue. Suppressed feelings start a chain: muscle tension → poor circulation → a vicious circle of pain → anxiety → tension.
Where emotions live in the body: fear — a tight diaphragm; anger — a stiff neck and shoulders; sadness — dropped shoulders and a compressed chest; anxiety — spasms in the belly.
How I work. I see the body as one system and look for the root of the tension. Gentle techniques: diaphragmatic work for free breathing; neck work for fewer headaches and less anxiety; fascial techniques to release the shell of spasms; craniosacral work to balance the nervous system and reach deep relaxation.
When to come: constant tension in the neck, back or belly, a feeling of heaviness, restricted breathing, tension headaches.
Osteopathy is not a replacement for psychotherapy, but a strong ally: it removes the physical side of emotions and brings back a sense of lightness.
